Silversmithing Workshop Policies

Age & Participant Requirements
  • All participants must be 10 years of age or older and mature enough to follow directions for the safety of themselves and others.
  • Children under 10 are not permitted to participate or be present in the studio during workshops.
  • Participants must be able to understand and follow verbal safety instructions from our team throughout the entire experience.
Safety Dress Code
  • Closed-toe shoes and pants are strongly recommended.
  • Long hair must be tied back securely.
  • Please avoid loose, flowing clothing or accessories that could create a safety hazard while using equipment.
Arrival Time & Tardiness
  • Please arrive 10–15 minutes early to choose your designs, stones, and get settled.
  • If your group is 15 minutes late or more, we may need to reschedule your experience, and a no-show fee will be applied.
Cancelation Policy & No-Show Policy
  • We require at least 72 hours’ notice for cancellations, reschedules, or changes in the number of seats.
  • If your group cancels, reschedules, or adjusts your seat count less than 72 hours prior, a $50 no-show fee per person will be charged.
  • If you arrive with fewer guests than you booked, you will still be charged for the reserved seats.
  • If you book a silversmithing experience but decide not to participate in silversmithing, the no-show fee will apply for the seat you took in the workshop.
Large Groups
  • All guests must have a paid seat in the workshop. Observers are welcome if there is space available.
  • If you book for a group and arrive with fewer guests than reserved, you will be charged a no-show fee for each missing participant unless we are notified more than 72 hours in advance. For Groups of seven or More:
  • You must book the ‘private studio experience’ in order for us to accommodate larger groups.
  • To keep the workshop running on time and ensure everyone gets hands-on support, groups of seven or more will have a limited design menu. Each participant may create a single-stone piece with simplified detail options. These options still allow for creative freedom and beautiful finished pieces — just with more focused guidance and structure to support the larger group experience.
Following Silversmith Instructions
  • Our silversmiths are here to guide you with professionalism, patience, and care. For your safety and the quality of your piece, it is essential that you listen to and follow all instructions.
  • We reserve the right to remove any participant who does not follow safety instructions, is disruptive, or compromises the experience — without refund.
Design & Final Approval
  • Our team will guide you through shaping, fitting, and designing your piece, and we stand behind their training and recommendations.
  • You will always approve the fit, design, and look of your piece before anything is soldered or finalized. Therefore SLVR | 72 is not responsible for any issues with fit, design, or look.
  • Once you give approval, you are responsible for the final outcome of your piece.
  • If you select a size or design outside of our team’s recommendations, SLVR | 72 is not liable for any discomfort, sizing issues, or dissatisfaction.
  • If there are any concerns with your jewelry you need to voice your concern before you leave the studio. Once your piece is finalized and the stone is set we cannot make adjustments to your piece.
Ring Sizing & Fit Policy

Our silversmithing process is intentionally designed to prioritize comfort, accuracy, and craftsmanship. Here’s how it works:

After you select your ring size, we intentionally craft your ring slightly smaller than the size you chose. Once your piece is complete, our team uses a professional-grade ring stretcher to gradually expand the band—stopping at the exact fit that feels right for you. This method gives us more precision and control during the final fitting process, helping us avoid overshooting your desired size.

It's extremely important that you listen to your silversmith’s guidance during sizing. Our team is trained to help you find the best fit based on the metal, band thickness, and your preferences—but ultimately, you approve the final fit. Once your ring is stretched and confirmed by you, we are not responsible for changes in fit after your session.

Please keep in mind that:

  • Rings may feel tighter or looser throughout the day depending on temperature, swelling, or humidity.
  • Silversmiths will advise, but the final sizing decision is yours.
  • All sales are final once a piece is confirmed and completed.

This policy also adheres to bracelet cuffs.

Sales, Payments & Refunds
  • All sales are final.
  • Payment is due at the time of your workshop.
  • We inspect every piece thoroughly before it leaves our studio, making sure it is up to our standards. Once your piece leaves the studio, damage is outside of our control and not eligible for a refund or free re-make.
  • SLVR | 72 does not offer refunds, replacements, or discounts for jewelry created during your session. Each customer is responsible for the piece they make.
Workshop Duration & Finishing
  • Workshops typically last 2.5 to 3.5 hours, depending on your design choices.
  • Please plan accordingly and do not rush your silversmith if you have time constraints.
  • If you need to leave early, our silversmith can finish the piece for you, and you can pick it up on another day.
  • You will not be permitted to return to finish it yourself unless you book a new workshop and pay the base price again.
Pricing Transparency
  • Our full pricing is available on our website under the Silversmithing Experience tab, so you can review costs before arriving.
  • In the studio, we present a printed price list before any decisions are made, and all upgrades are explained and confirmed by the customer.
  • Because we provide pricing both online and in person, SLVR | 72 is not responsible for any price misunderstandings once your experience begins.
  • If you book a silversmithing seat but decide upon arrival to switch to a different experience, you will be charged a no-show fee for the workshop seat in addition to the cost of the new experience.

Permanent Jewelry Policies

General Acknowledgements
  • Permanent jewelry is "permanent" only in concept and can be removed at any time with a simple cut at the jump ring.
  • Allergic reactions to metals are rare but possible. If you experience itching or rash, remove the jewelry immediately.
  • Looking directly at the welding spark can result in temporary or permanent eye injury. Eye protection must be worn.
  • You must remain still during the welding process to minimize any risk of injury.
  • Any discomfort must be reported immediately to the artist.
Skin Reactions & Oxidation
  • Gold-filled jewelry may leave a green mark due to pH imbalance, sweat, lotions, or dirt. This is a natural oxidation process and does not qualify for a refund.
  • Sterling silver may tarnish when exposed to elements like humidity, chlorine, and cosmetics. Tarnishing is natural and not grounds for a refund.
Care & Maintenance
  • Clean jewelry if needed with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive materials.
  • Use only recommended, skin-safe cleaners.
  • Jewelry is not indestructible and may require repairs over time due to wear and tear.

  • Clean gently with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid scrubbing or abrasive cleaners.

For Sterling Silver:

  • Tarnishing is natural with exposure to air, moisture, certain hot springs, and chemicals.
  • Friction from wear may naturally polish it; otherwise, use a sterling silver and skin-safe cleaner and cloth.

Preventing Skin Marks:

  • SLVR 72 can check your jump rings before you leave the studio. However, we are not liable for charms lost after the 72-hour period, as we cannot control how the jewelry is worn or cared for outside the studio.
